Designed by a Reno-based architecture firm known for its restraint in material and generosity in light, 847 Mountain View Drive arrives at the intersection of mountain craft and urban sophistication.
The main living level opens through a wall of sliding glass onto a 1,200 sq ft terrace — part outdoor room, part vantage point over the valley floor. Inside, a single contiguous plane of rift-sawn white oak runs from entry through the kitchen and out to the deck, grounding the home in a warmth that stone and glass alone cannot provide.
The kitchen is built around a 14-foot island in honed Calacatta Borghini marble. Appliances are Sub-Zero and Wolf throughout. A walk-in butler's pantry with a secondary prep sink and full-height wine storage keeps the entertaining space pristine.
The primary suite occupies the entire north wing — a sleeping volume, a sitting room, a spa bath with steam shower and freestanding soaking tub, and a walk-in dressing room with custom built-ins. Four additional en-suite bedrooms accommodate family or guests without compromise.
Below grade: a climate-controlled wine cellar for 800 bottles, a home theater with Dolby Atmos, and a fitness studio with rubber flooring and garden view.
Smart home integration covers lighting, climate, security cameras, and pool equipment — controllable from a wall panel or app. A 14-panel solar array offsets the majority of annual energy consumption.
